Don’t Postpone Freedom
Pounds doesn’t mean less worthy of love, joy, respect, visibility, access, and humanity.
People are starting to become more aware of body privilege and are starting to do more about it.
Black Women have always been on the frontlines of voting rights and the heart of American activist movements. Hamer’s influence manifests in Southern fat, Black women.
I believe everyBODY deserves to have a positive relationship with their bodies. Being healthy or non-healthy shouldn’t be a determining factor for positive body image. I was a yo-yo dieter as a teen up until my early twenties. I believe you are not a failure and the truth is DIETS DON’T WORK. We are all told that we have to have body goals. Well, body goals don’t have to be a before and after photo. It can simply be a positive relationship with your body.
I want to help you achieve getting out and doing the things that make you happy. You deserve to be #Livingnpublic. I want to help you stop postponing your freedom because of the relationship you have with your body.
